About Me

My name is Emily Matter and I’d like to style myself as a publication designer– but if that sounds too specialized for you, you can just call me a graphic designer. I roost just outside of Kansas City, Missouri, and I love to make physical page layouts and spreads. A lot of my past work is with magazines, booklets, and other publications, and I just love getting text and images to work together in harmony. 

 

I’ve previously worked with organizations like KMOS-PBS, where I served as a Student Promotions Assistant, and Arcade Literary Magazine, where I served as a layout co-editor. I have also served as the vice president of my university’s chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts, where we coordinated weekly programming & events for our chapter.
